SOLUTIONS FOR THE MARKING OF BUILDING MATERIALS

PLASTIC AND PAPER BAGS

Cement, gypsum, concrete; these are just some of the products packaged in bags in difficult environmental conditions, with processing systems featuring high technical requirements. The large character system is recognised by the market as the “conventional” and ideal solution for end-of-line marking, especially for marking bags.

The compact size and the maximum coding throw distance up to 40 mm allows the system to be installed at the end of the line, in the most suitable position to guarantee a perfect print on both sides, even if the bag positioned on the conveyor belt is not perfectly aligned.

The structure, made entirely of stainless steel, the standard material for all systems, is resistant to humidity, dust and high temperatures. Where a small font is required, the small character inkjet system is configured with high levels of protection to operate continuously in difficult conditions.

The robust construction and the advanced automatic cleaning system make the heads almost completely maintenance-free, with reduced operating costs. A wide range of fast-drying inks is available to print logos and alphanumeric texts and ensure perfect adhesion on any material, even with the use of water based inks.

EXTRUDED PLASTIC PRODUCTS

The marking of extruded products such as smooth or corrugated rigid PVC or polypropylene pipe systems, spiral PVC sheaths and cable ducting systems presents difficulties related to production sites with high temperatures and dust. Zanasi inkjet marking systems have been manufactured with specific design techniques to guarantee high performance and uniform and constant marking even in particularly extreme environments.

The plastic extrusion process inevitably requires continuity with constant operation 24 hours a day. The Zanasi inkjet marking system adapts to the environment in which it is placed, and the automatic regulation systems follow temperature variations and support the continuity of the production process.

The wide range of extruded products on the market is subject to strict criteria both during production and during coding and traceability. Individual parts must be coded and serialised according to the current regulations and the range of Zanasi marking systems is equipped with a technology that is suitable for:

creating high quality messages on curved surfaces and small, clear characters on a limited print area;

using fast-drying inks, ensuring perfect adhesion, resistance to heat and post-processing treatments of the product;

using high-contrast inks for printing on dark surfaces;

easily and automatically creating messages for customisation of the product with detailed coding, batch numbers and 2D codes;

creating clear and defined prints for traceability, regulatory coding, quality marks and company logos.

INSULATION MATERIALS

There is a harmonised product standard for insulating materials: CE marking is mandatory and shows compliance with the European directive for authorisation for placing on the market.

Zanasi inkjet marking solutions allow simple CE marking, complete with batch number and basic characteristics of the product, to be placed on polystyrene, thermal insulation plates and metal under-tile systems.

Manufacturers will be able to enhance their material with additional information and product identity thanks to printheads that can be combined in different positions and configurations, to create a flexible, tailored system suitable for specific marking needs.

ABRASIVES

High-quality marking on materials such as abrasive products, which are marketed without packaging, is the main tool to trace the product, print its exclusive characteristics and, above all, advertise your brand.

Products such as discs and abrasive wheels are difficult materials to mark and the range of Zanasi inkjet marking systems helps to improve the accuracy of the coding, which lasts throughout the product life cycle and provides the user with important information on its correct use.

The marking solution that adapts to the various materials allows customised coding of the specific contents for each product type and reduces the discarding of products that are difficult to code again.

PRINTING ON SECONDARY PACKAGING

Cardboard packaging, as a simple tool for logistical and information needs, has assumed an increasingly important role as a vehicle for communication and branding, without foregoing the focus on aesthetics and image uniformity.

To meet the numerous requests for customisation and printing on cardboard boxes, trays and labels, Zanasi offers a complete line of low and high resolution printing systems.

The systems, designed to print text, barcodes, logos and images of different heights, use Drop on Demand piezoelectric printing technology, ensuring robustness and reliability for highly defined high-resolution printing, as well as perfectly traceable, readable and GS1 standard-compliant barcodes, on porous and non-porous surfaces.

The Thermal InkJet range of systems is capable of adhering perfectly to any surface of packaging and multipacks. They incorporate the control unit and ink cartridge in a small space, allowing the latter to be replaced in a matter of seconds, offering high resolution printing up to 900 Dpi of alphanumeric characters and high quality data matrix.
