NZ 2.0 PRINTHEAD

The NZ 2.0 printhead is designed to ensure robustness, reliability and operational continuity, even in the most demanding industrial environments. The anodised aluminium and AISI 304 stainless steel structure, together with the high-precision internal components and the dedicated seals found in the Harsh Environment (HE) version, ensure resistance to dust, humidity, solvents, vibrations and temperature variations. Optimised mechanical engineering reduces friction and wear, thereby increasing operating life and ensuring stable performance, even at high printing frequencies.

THE RANGE

Designed for in-line marking on moving products, the NZ 2.0 series is available with 7, 16 or 32 dots and 120 or 200 μm nozzles. It allows the printing of macro characters, including alphanumeric text, barcodes and logos, with print heights ranging from 4.2 to 139.5 mm depending on the selected model and matrix. The synthetic ruby nozzle assembly and internal Teflon hydraulic connections help to maintain consistent marking quality over time.

Available in Standard (S) and HE versions, the NZ 2.0 series offers completely free angle management and is fully compatible with the Z402, Z408 and Z408PI printing systems. It can be integrated into existing lines immediately without the need for structural modifications. The repairability of the product contributes to optimised TCO in line with ZANASI’s 3R philosophy.

POWERED BY

The Orkestra platform provides advanced connectivity, simplifying integration with line devices and business systems. Multiple connections can be activated according to production requirements to improve continuous data exchange and support 2D code printing for traceability. Head management, message creation and verification, and parameter setting are all performed via the Orkestra software interface, either from a console or a PC using Orkestra Remote. Storing print parameters in the message reduces configuration time and errors, while remote management facilitates daily operations and speeds up interventions.

The spring-loaded solenoid with nut prevents calibration loss when the head is installed on lines that are subject to vibration. This results in uniform, legible markings, even in complex conditions.

Reduction in ink consumption

Reducing the size of the nozzle allows for ink savings of up to 45% compared to the previous generation. This offers clear advantages in terms of both operating costs and reduced environmental impact.

Repairability and TCO optimization

NZ 2.0 heads are designed for repair. This design allows for quick, targeted interventions, reducing downtime and containing the total cost of ownership (TCO). This approach is in line with the ZANASI 3R philosophy, extending the product's useful life and optimising operating costs.

APPLICATIONS

The NZ 2.0 heads are designed to provide reliable marking in even the most demanding industrial environments, where dust, humidity, vibrations and extreme temperatures could otherwise compromise print quality. Thanks to the precision of the nozzle assembly and the robust structure, clear and legible codes can be produced on flat, curved or inclined surfaces, whether they are absorbent, semi-absorbent or non-absorbent (e.g. PVC, polyester, rubber, aluminium, steel, glass or ceramic).
Compatibility with a wide range of water-based, solvent-based and pigmented inks guarantees optimal performance on any material with high contrast and fast drying, even in challenging environmental conditions.
